![]() ![]() Later that year, a local businessman and friend, Bruce Badger, tried Waxomatic on his car. He named his formula Waxomatic and by 1956 it became so popular that its manufacturing facility could not keep up with demand. After years of experimenting with carnauba flakes, Harly came up with a formula that significantly outperformed every other wax on the market. Harly Wax ® was cre ated in 1952 by Harly Squires, a California chemist. This is crucial to protecting the finish on your car, because products containing cleaners, powders or abrasives remove some of your vehicle’s finish every time you wax. Unlike the majority of waxes available today, Harly Wax ® contains no cleaners, powders, abrasives, or PTFE sealants. They do not provide the deep shine that turns a good paint job into a brilliant paint job. Liquid waxes on the market simply do not measure up to Harly Wax ®. Harly Wax ® is a pure carnauba paste wax that is easy to apply and easy to remove. For this reason, you will not find Harly Wax ® in the auto parts store. Harly Wax ® is guaranteed to be made in small batches from the highest grade of hand selected Number One Yellow Carnauba Wax, and it is priced accordingly. The finest and most costly grade of carnauba wax is Number One Yellow. It produces a glossy finish that makes it an ideal automotive wax. Carnauba wax is derived from the leaves of a palm plant that is grown only in the harsh mountains of northeastern Brazil. However, there is one natural compound that is superior to synthetics: carnauba wax. Numerous synthetic, man-made products have been designed to protect the finish on your car. Harly Wax ® is distributed exclusively in North America by Harly Wax USA. After just one application you will see for yourself that Harly Wax ® is the finest carnauba wax in the world. It is easy to apply, easy to buff off and it gives your car an incredible wet-look shine. I understand that the price tag may not be for everyone, so i would recomend poor boy's world or meguiars as viable alternatives at a lower price point.Harly Wax ® is a pure carnauba wax that produces the deepest, glossiest shine on any type of paint finish. I am a huge fan of Adam's detailing products (i have no association with them) and would recommend them over anything you can buy at a big box store. I'll admit that the above washing techniques and then protection steps (like paint sealant and other products) are too much work for most, but I for one feel the need to care for and protect my car. This video outlines proper car washing techniques: (yes there is a wrong and right way to wash a car haha) It also means that you need to use proper washing techniques. that means using a high quality car soap, high quality microfiber wash mitts, and high quality microfiber towels. The most important thing is to avoid those swirls induced by improper washing in the first place. #Ibiz auto wax how to#If you want more on the paint correction process, here is a step by step how to video: here is a video on that process: The paint on the left is corrected, and to the right was taped off to show the original swirls and marring.Īdams paint correction by Andrew Villablanca, on Flickr here is a before and after photo of the process on my white 1st gen. I have done it to my used trucks and the results spoke for themselves. Its a very time intensive process, but the results are absolutely amazing. That process actually uses abrasives to "sand" (for lack of a better word) your paint down so that they are no longer visible. Nothing will get rid of swirls in paint except for a true paint correction (meaning the IBIZ products you bought won't help sadly). most people arent bothered by these swirls and don't wash their cars often or properly, but if they do bother you there are solutions. improper washing (even what most people think is overkill) will actually damage your paint and introduce swirls especially in paint or clear coat. Basically, paint is a whole lot softer than most people think. Im very into car detailing so I'll chime in on this. ![]()
